BIG BANG POETRY

In an Universe
Doomed by entropy,
That cruel and cold
Unavoidable death

Will dark matter
Add enough to total mass
So gravity wins over
Inflationary expansion?

Forces centrifugal
Giving way to centripetal,
Reversing the arrow of time
In a Big Crunch?

Through the nexus of
A supreme singularity
Into the heart of
An all-consuming Black Hole

Something called Reality
(Relatively speaking)
Would fold into itself
To greet patient Oblivion

When extremities shall meet
Yesterday becomes tomorrow
The all that is nothing,
The nothing that is all...

Will the mother
Of all White Holes
Throw 'It' elsewhere/elsewhen
In a reverse motion?

Or will the explosive Universe,
Going beyond
Its own event’s horizon,
Get unimaginably bigger and cooler?

To die...
At last...
As a timeless and infinite void,
Devoid of all light and heat?

Or is a cosmological constant
Reigning over?
Is a systolic/diastolic cosmic metabolism
The rule?

Will the fabric of reality
Tear itself apart
By it's own
never-ending growth?

Does Eternal Return
Have anything to do
With conventional concepts
Of beginning and end?

Maybe it's all parts
And no whole
As in the poet's intuition
About the so-called mystery

Or it could be
A circular "motu continuo":
The Ouroboros
Eating its own tail

Be it a non-dimensional zero,
A complex fractal infinity,
Or even an unthinkable
Combination of both

According to Heisenberg
And Bohr’s way
Ying and Yang must preserve
The equilibrium of the Tao

So, from victorious death
New life must rise
Again and again
As ever and ever

Pehaps escaping
Through myriad Worm Holes
Or replicating itself
In probability clouds

After No-time
In No-space,
That never manifested
Non-being,

(By a Mystery Ineffable
Fueled by Forces Unknown)
Surfaces from
The deep Beyond

Creating an Anomaly
In Hyperspace
And thus igniting
The eternal Big Bang

A collapsing Chaos
That died as a Null
Is born again
As a radiant Unity

Multiplying itself
In an expanding Cosmos
And generating space-time
By Necessity

Bringing on inexorable
Patterns of Order
While opening Fields
Of interaction

Granted by Chance,
Blind and mighty,
Creating the Possibility
Of transformation

Primordial axions
Coalesce!
Weightless photons
Coruscate!

Where is all
The Antimatter
That should
Be/Not-be?

What is
Dark Energy
And its supposed
Antigravity?

Why is
General Relativity
Incompatible with
Quantum Mechanics?

Give!
Me!
My!
Higg's boson!

Supersimetry, supergravity, superstrings,
Eleven dimensions, p-branas, M-theory,
Mesons and gluons,
Leptons and quarks

Up, Down
And Strange!
Charm, Top
And Bottom!

If Physics was a religion
All its priests would be praying
To their gods and saints
In mathemathics' Heaven

Aristotle, Galileo, Newton
Maxwell, Plank, Einstein
Dirac, Feynman, Hawking
Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera

Heartly pleading
For the 'Holy Grail'
Of an unified theory
Of Everything

In a Multiverse
Of impossible possibilities,
Parallel worlds,
Transfinite sets and open totalities

Schrödinger’s cat dreams
About imaginary numbers,
Half-dead, half-alive
Inside a hidden variable

When Energy
Becomes Mass
By polarization into
Opposite particles

And wave patterns
Interfere among themselves
There is just one thing for sure:
Uncertainty...

POST-SCRIPTUM:

De vez em quanto gosto de me arriscar a traçar algumas linhas poéticas, seja em português ou em inglês. Neste caso, trata-se de uma tentativa 'filosófica' de abordar a cosmologia a partir de alguns conceitos da física teórica.

BECOMING = DEVIR [do latim ‘devenire’] - Verbo intransitivo; vir a ser, tornar-se, devenir.
