Se estivesse vivo, o líder da banda Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, teria feito 43 anos no dia 20 de fevereiro. Considerado símbolo do movimento grunge e da Geração X, o guitarrista norte-americano não era de aparecer muito, apesar de liderar uma das maiores bandas da história do rock. O Nirvana saiu do anonimato em 1991 para vender quase nove milhões de cópias do álbum ‘Nevermind’.
Em 5 de abril de 1994, o jovem músico foi encontrado morto em sua casa em Seattle, vítima de um tiro de espingarda na cabeça. Até hoje sua morte é discutida por seus fãs, que não acreditam no laudo de suicídio dado pelo legista. Mesmo sem querer, o líder do Nirvana acabou se tornando um mártir e porta-voz de toda uma geração.
